Research contents:

Relying on platforms such as the China Agricultural Green Development Research Center and the Sino-Japanese Agricultural Development Research Joint Laboratory, the main task of the Innovation Team of Resources Utilization and Regional Planning of Agriculture is to undertake major national and international cooperative research projects and cultivate talents.

Focused on the institutional arrangements and mechanisms for agricultural green development, the team works on efficient use of agricultural resources, agricultural green production, and the improvement of rural human settlements; explores the technical path and production mode of resource saving and recycling that combines green farmland construction, agronomy, and agricultural machinery promotion; and conducts regional suitability evaluation based on cost-benefit analysis and producer behavior.

The team also puts forward systematic solutions for agricultural and rural green development in terms of farmland construction, agricultural clean production, utilization of agricultural waste resources, and livable living in rural areas; proposes roadmaps and incentive mechanisms for agricultural green development and management and control methods for resource conservation and intensive use; and provides strong scientific and technological support for China's high-quality agricultural development and rural revitalization.

Research objectives:

To advance China's green, high-quality development in agriculture and its rural revitalization strategy and centered on the institutional needs in the green development of agriculture and rural areas, the innovation team conducts forward-looking, strategic and overall research on sustainable utilization of agricultural resources and green production and life in rural areas; works out road maps for agricultural green development; and proposes technological patterns and ecological compensation mechanisms such as green farmland construction paths, efficient use of agricultural waste resources, and enhancement of the rural environment. In addition, it builds the discipline of agricultural resources utilization and regional planning, and provides policy reference for agricultural green development.

Research direction:

An integration and evaluation system for efficient use of agricultural resources, coordinated promotion mechanisms and policy system of ecological compensation and rural green development, and market-oriented, diversified agricultural and rural green development technologies and incentive models
