Innovation Team of Soil-Plant Interactions

IARRP | Updated: 2021-07-08

Research contents:

The Innovation Team of Soil-Plant Interactions conducts research on the molecular mechanism of the efficient utilization of soil nutrients by plants and the efficient genetic improvement technology of crop nutrients; the mechanism of rhizosphere microorganisms regulating plant growth and promoting efficient utilization of nutrients; the mechanism of heavy metal transformation in the soil and the absorption and transportation coupling relationship with crops; the safety threshold of heavy metals in the soil of agricultural product production areas and  remediation technologies for contaminated soil; the response mechanism of abiotic stress in the soil-plant system and the practical technology to improve the stress tolerance of plants; and the microecological effect of pesticide residues in the soil-plant system and the bioremediation technology of pesticide contaminated soil.

Research objectives:

Focusing on the soil-plant interaction interface, the team clarifies the molecular regulation mechanism of efficient absorption and utilization of plant nutrient and signal transduction; studies the molecular mechanism of rhizosphere microorganisms for efficient nutrient utilization; reveals key factors and regulation mechanisms of heavy metals migration and transformation in the soil-crop system, and safety thresholds of heavy metals in the soil of the production areas; analyzes the rules of pesticide residues, and salt stress response mechanisms; develops practical technologies for clean and safe soil production; and provides technologies for building a green, efficient and safe soil-plant production management system.

Research direction:

The transformation and cyclic process of nutrient elements in the soil-plant interaction interface, as well as the transformation process of harmful substances and early warnings.
