The "China Agricultural Green Development Report 2025" was released in Beijing on July 18. Chen Bangxun, director general of the Department of Development Planning of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, delivered a keynote speech, while Ye Yujiang, vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), chaired the meeting.

The report provides a comprehensive overview of China's agricultural green development in 2025, highlighting progress across the entire agricultural value chain. It shows continued improvements in four key areas: resource conservation, environmental protection, green agricultural production, and rural well-being. According to the report, advances in green technologies, standards, digital management, and policy support have further promoted the green transformation of China's agricultural sector.

Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening long-term monitoring systems, developing replicable technologies and practical models, and continuously improving the quality of the annual report to better support policymaking and sustainable agricultural development.

More than 150 representatives from government departments, research institutes, universities, and enterprises attended the release event.
