Green agriculture training program held in Beijing

On June 22, the Training Program for Green and Low-carbon Agriculture for Officials of Developing Countries commenced in Beijing. It was hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by the International Exchange Service Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

Dr. Li Wenjuan, a researcher from the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning (IARRP), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), was invited to deliver a full English lecture titled "Green Agricultural Development in China."

The lecture provided a detailed introduction to the theory and research methods of green agricultural development in China, as well as the "Chinese experience" and "Chinese model" in areas such as industrial restructuring in national pilot zones and rural revitalization in the whole country. A total of 27 agricultural officials and representatives from countries including Laos, Tanzania, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe participated in the training program.

During the discussion session, the students expressed their admiration for the achievements of Chinese agriculture in the last three decades and expressed their strong interests in deepening multilateral communication and desires for further cooperation. Researcher Li Wenjuan introduced the international cooperations of the institute and the appliable scientific and technologic innovations in regional development.
