Conference Notice

I. Introduction

The Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), will host the APEC Workshop on Farmland Resource Protection and Food System Transformation and Upgrading on Oct 16–17, 2025.

This event aims to explore new models for farmland resource protection and food system transformation, implement the spirit of relevant APEC declarations and statements, and further enhance information sharing on farmland resource utilization and protection among APEC economies. Government officials and experts from APEC member economies will participate in the workshop.

II. Topics

1. Farmland resource protection status in APEC member economies;

2. Information exchange on food system transformation and upgrading in APEC economies;

3. Case studies on successful practices of farmland resource protection promoting food system transformation and upgrading.
